Rox Resources (RXL) and its joint venture partner, Venus Metals (VMC) have received results from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Sovereign prospect.

The Sovereign prospect is part of the Youanmi Gold Project in Western Australia.

RC drilling commenced earlier this month at the Sovereign and Penny West Deep South prospects.

RC drilling at Sovereign is following up on aircore (AC) results from late last year and tested beneath gold intersections in previous AC drilling including four metres at 7.02 g/t of gold from 24 metres.

Best results from the latest batch of results include; 10 metres at 3.64g/t gold from 79 metres, including two metres at 10.64g/t gold from 82 metres; and seven metres at 3.97g/t gold from 59 metres, one metre at 8.19g/t gold from 64 metres; and three metres at 1.98g/t gold from 24 metres; and four metres at 2.68g/t gold from 116 metres, including one metre at 5.43g/t gold from 118 metres.

The gold mineralised zone appears to trend approximately south-southeast and is open at depth and along strike.

The joint venture partners consider these results highly encouraging and further RC drilling is planned at the Sovereign prospect.

Rox is down a slight 1.35 per cent with shares trading for 7.3 cents each at 11:39 am AEST. Venus is up a slight 1.85 per cent with shares trading for 27.5 cents each at 10:17 am AEST.
