Si6 Metals has appointed Modisana Botsile as the Stategic Advisor of the company’s Botswana operations.

As a Botswana national, Modisana brings a wealth of knowledge about the country, as well as experiences and connections.

Modisana will be working on Si6’s licensing, project negotiations, government liaisons and project management in Botswana.

Executive Chairman Patrick Holywell said the appointment comes at a critical time as the company “moves ahead” with its exploration program on the ground in Botswana.

Si6 said the new strategic advisor has previously spent a significant amount of time working with the Botswana Government in the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Resources.

He also holds extensive experience in mineral exploration and development in both Botswana and Southern Africa.

Further, Modisana has all the necessary qualifications, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering, with honours in Metallurgy and Materials Science Engineering from Liverpool University in the UK and going on to complete a Master of Science in Minerals and Energy Economics from the Curtin Graduate School of Business in WA.

Last month, the company reported delays at its Maibele Project in Botswana after a member of its exploration team was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Shares in Si6 last traded at 1.8 cents each.
