SportsHero (SHO) is gearing up to develop an artificial intelligence-based live eSports prediction platform.

The social sports predictor says its fully owned system will be a world first, adding a significant global software asset and capability to SportsHero’s tech portfolio.

The platform will incorporate a combination of deep learning and machine learning, becoming increasingly precise as more data is added to the system.

To facilitate the development, SHO has engaged artificial intelligence specialist Ai-Driven, which services small to medium enterprises globally.

Through the arrangement, Ai-Driven will accept the majority of its fees in shares and options, including a one-time cash fee of $50,000, of which $30,000 will be payable immediately.

Further, and subject to shareholder approval, SportsHero will issue two million fully paid ordinary shares and three million options to the specialist at completion.

SportsHero CEO Tom Lapping commented on the company’s prospective AI platform.

“The development of this cutting-edge and innovative technology is expected to significantly complement SportsHero’s existing platforms and our co-branded esports focused prediction network partnership with ICON Esports,” Tom said.

“We further anticipate that the introduction of deep learning technology and artificial intelligence will broaden and enrich our offering and deliver significant new revenue opportunities for SportsHero.”

The development team will be led by Ai-Driven Chief Technical Officer Henry Tan, an experienced software engineer specialising in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

SportsHero shares have dipped 10.3 per cent to trade at 3.5 cents at 3:50 pm AEST.
