Sunshine Gold (SHN) has reported “excellent” recoveries from preliminary metallurgical test work at its Ravenswood West project in Queensland.

Test work was conducted on a single composite sample from two reverse circulation holes at the Titov copper-gold-silver-molybdenum target.

A peak recovery of molybdenum came in at 91.7 per cent, while a copper recovery of 76.5 per cent was recorded.

The company said preliminary cleaner flotation test work further reduced the mass pull and returned concentrate grades to 56.8 per cent molydenum.

Additional metallurgical studies will be conducted as drilling progresses.

“The emergence of high-grade footwall and hanging wall mineralisation on the eastern end of Titov Main, in conjunction with the strengthening IP anomalism, bodes well for next drilling due to commence in May 2022,” Managing Director Damien Keys said.

“The drilling will focus on extensions to the Titov Main system and first tests of Titov South and Titov North.

“Geophysical crews are due to recommence work on Gagarin and Wilbur’s Hill in coming weeks as we look to confirm drill ready targets.”

Sunshine Gold is now preparing to undertake further trilling work at Titov this month, focusing on the eastern and western strike extensions of Titov Main, the source of chargeability identified at Titov South, and the source of resistivity at Titov North. Locations and relationships of interpreted structures will also be tested.

Shares were trading 8.11 per cent higher today at 4 cents each at 11:38 am AEST.
