Suvo Strategic Minerals (SUV) has commenced a 26-hole metallurgical drilling program at its White Cloud Kaolin Project in Gabbin, Western Australia.
The kaolin producer and silica sand explorer is undertaking drilling as it needs to create five tonnes of metallurgical samples using its kaolin.
The company plans to blend together 238 metres of kaolinite ore to create the samples, which will then be shipped domestically and internationally.
SUV is planning to ship the majority of the samples to Lixil AS Sanitary Manufacturing Co for ongoing product development.
Others will also be processed into refined kaolin, which in turn will be supplied to other end users.
The company explained there is a need to determine the required processing of its product to reach the different ceramic, table ware, sanitary and paper markets.
“This program is important as we seek to meet the high-end user demand for testing of our White Cloud kaolin,” Executive Chairman Robert Martin said.
“The information and knowledge we gain from working with our current and future offtake partners will help us refine our process flow sheets ensuring we obtain the maximum return on our in-ground resource,” Robert added.
