Thomson Resources (TMZ) has received the final results from its drilling program at Yalgogrin gold project on the Lachlan Ford Belt.

A total of twelve reverse circulation holes were drilled on various targets at tenement, EL 8684, for a total of 1166 metres. The company said that the maiden drilling program produced some outstanding results.

Drilling results include 2 metres at 7.5 g/t of gold from 34 metres depth in an overall intercept of 50 metres at 0.5 g/t of gold from surface and 5 metres at 10.3 g/t of gold from 92 metres depth.

Thomson Resources changed the drilling campaign on short notice due to wet conditions through central NSW. Drilling changed from the Harry Smith gold project near Narrandera to Yalgogrin.

Previously, Thomson received drilling approval to several of gold workings in the area and of these four were tested for drilling- Shellys, Bursted Boulder, Bottrells and Cherry Tree.

Further fieldwork needs to be done to several other gold anomalies, such as Southern Cross on EL8648 and Troys, Rebergers and Amaroo on EL 8946.

“Thomson considers that significant value remains to be unlocked within its current portfolio of projects and continues to review and evaluate complementary acquisition opportunities,” Thomson Resources announced.

“The company looks forward to updating shareholders with respect to its activities over the coming weeks and in line with its continuous disclosure obligations.”

Thomson is up 2.78 per cent on the market today and is trading for 3.7 cents per share at 1:24 pm AEST.
