Shining a spotlight on some of the ASX’s big movers today, Brookside Energy (BRK) shares performed well after the company announced it produced more than 40,000 barrels of oil from its Wolf Pack well in Oklahoma in just one month.
The company has been producing at least 1500 barrels every day from Wolf Pack. Brookside has already pocketed $3.7 million in revenue from the operations, with more expected to follow.
Meanwhile, Galileo Mining’s (GAL) share price has soared nearly 30 per cent after it struck its widest-ever drill intersection at the Callisto discovery in Western Australia.
Boasting a 72-metre sulphide zone within the Norseman project, Galileo’s share price has been trading around 70 cents.
A big winner today was Besra Gold (BEZ). The company saw its shares more-than-double in early trade after signing a US$300 million facility to develop its Bau gold project in Malaysia.
The funding agreement is with major shareholder Quantum. If all goes to plan, Besra says it could be “one of the largest deals of its kind signed by an ASX-listed junior”.
After paring back its win over the course of the day, BEZ closed 50 per cent higher at six cents.
Also in news today, Almonty Industries (AII) tapped investors for $3.5 million via a share placement. The cash will fund the repayment of a convertible note and provide general working capital.
The shares will be issued at 72 cents — in line with Almonty’s last trading price.
And finally, pregnancy tech company HeraMed (HMD) gained nearly 5 per cent after announcing a memorandum of understanding with a Gold Coast hospital to trial its ‘HeraCARE’ platform.
HeraMED CEO and Co-founder David Groberman described the news as a “significant milestone”, and the company’s share price climbed to 12 cents.
