Torian Resources (TNR) has received further results from the Mt Stirling Gold System in Western Australia.

Both reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling is ongoing at the project to test and define the depth and strike extent of the gold system.

Best results come from hole MSRD005, which confirmed the Viserion lode has significant depth extensions.

Results include 9.2 metres at 2.99g/t gold from 261 metres including one metre at 6.88g/t gold from 264 metres and one metre at 9.79g/t gold from 273.5 metres.

Torian has also received results from the Mt Stirling Main Zone with results peaking at five metres at 3.05g/t gold from 42 metres including one metre at 5.65g/t gold from 44 metres.

All these results confirm strike extensions to the northwest of Mt Stirling with the total strike now measuring over 760 metres.

Additionally, the Mt Stirling Main Zone and Viserion lode remain open along strike and down dip with extensional RC holes currently in progress.

“With each batch of results received, it becomes clearer and clearer to us that we’re sitting on something quite substantial at Mt Stirling,” Executive Director Peretz Schapiro commented.

“We have demonstrated that we are ‘on the system’ with our immediate task being to define the actual footprint of Mt Stirling as it continues to remain open along strike and depth,” he said.

“Should results confirm our interpretation of a shear-hosted gold system that continues at depth, it would mean that Mt Stirling’s multiple gold structures continue to have the potential to depth,” he added.

Torian is now waiting on additional holes from Mt Stirling and Mt Stirling Well, which will then be incorporated into an upcoming JORC resource upgrade scheduled to be released by the end of March.

Furthermore, phase two work is set to begin shortly to test the link between the Mt Stirling and Mt Stirling Well gold systems.

Torian is down 1.67 per cent on the market with shares trading at 5.9 cents at 11:37 am AEDT.
