Trek Minerals (TKM) has completed its purchase of ACME Pilbara, giving the company full ownership of two projects in the Pilbara.
The purchase now gives Trek the full ownerships of the Pincunah and Jimblebar gold projects, giving the company access to new growth opportunities in an area renowned for its gold.
Trek is excited to explore the area in light of De Grey Mining’s Hemi gold discovery.
The Pincunah Gold Project is located 70 kilometres west of Marble Bar in WA and tenements within the project are located near significant established gold and base metal deposits. Meanwhile, the Jimblebar Gold Project has a great exploration opportunity in a historical goldfield.
Executive Director John Young is pleased Trek has completed the acquisition.
“The exciting thing about both these projects is that they have had very little exploration in recent years, and yet contain highly prospective structures
and numerous drill targets,” he said.
“We are really excited about the opportunity to get on the ground this month to begin field investigations and start the process of target ranking for our maiden drill program,” he added.
Field exploration programs at the projects commenced this month.
On the market this afternoon, Trek is up two per cent and is trading for 5.1 cents per share at 3:39 pm AEST.
