Sabre Resources (SBR) has appointed a new CEO, effective from today.

Geologist Jon Dugdale has been appointed to the role, bringing with him more than 30 years’ experience in the resources sector, with a strong track record in capital raising and discovery.

This follows an announcement yesterday from Golden Deeps (GED) also appointing Jon Dugdale to the role of CEO of its company.

Mr Dugdale most recently held the role as fund manager with Lion Selection Group and managing director of several ASX listed companies. He was directly involved with the promotion and raising of more than $70 million to advance exploration and complete pre-feasibility studies into nickel and gold projects in the Philippines.

Prior to this he was involved in major discovery programs at the St Ives and Agnew Gold projects in WA.

In the new role, Mr Dugdale will focus on advancing Sabre’s project portfolio, including applying his experience to the company’s gold projects, reviewing the development and exploration potential of the Sherlock Bay Nickel Project and renewing exploration of the Otavi Mountain projects in Namibia.

“Jon brings to the company a demonstrated track record of discovery and promotional skills that will be invaluable as we look to drive shareholder value for Sabre Resources,” Sabre Resources Chairman Michael Scivolo said.

“With his nickel and gold experience and active programs on all of our projects, it’s a great time for Jon to come on board and drive shareholder interest through discovery and enthusiastic presentation.”

Sabre Resources is down 8.33 per cent, trading at 0.6 cents at 11:50 am AEST.
